About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to join our Children's Services team in Bexley. This is a vital permanent role where you will play a key part in the daily lives of children and young people, providing leadership and support to a team of care professionals. As a Team Leader, you will help create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met with dignity and respect. You will be responsible for overseeing shifts, guiding colleagues, and upholding the highest standards of care. Due to the varied nature of our services and the needs of those we support, this position offers a dynamic working pattern including day shifts, nights, long days, twilight shifts, sleep-ins, and waking nights, providing a diverse and engaging work-life experience. Being a driver is essential for this role, enabling you to support transport needs and community engagement for our young people. Key Responsibilities • Provide effective leadership and guidance to the care team during shifts. • Oversee the daily routines and activities, ensuring they are enriching and appropriate. • Support and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. • Ensure that care plans are followed meticulously, adapting to individual needs as required. • Promote the health, safety, and well-being of all children and young people in our care. • Document observations and maintain accurate records to a high standard. • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating best practice in all aspects of care. • Safely transport children and young people to appointments, activities, and outings.
