Deputy Manager - Children's Services About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our Children's Services team in Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting young people who exhibit challenging behaviours, helping them to develop, thrive, and achieve their full potential. As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential setting, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for all children in our care. This role offers the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable young people, guiding and inspiring a team of committed professionals. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and internal policies. • Provide leadership and supervision to the care team, fostering a positive and supportive working atmosphere. • Develop and implement individual care plans, ensuring they are person-centred and responsive to the evolving needs of the children. • Manage and rota staff effectively to ensure appropriate staffing levels and consistency of care. • Act as a positive role model and mentor for both staff and young people. • Participate in safeguarding duties, ensuring the well-being and protection of all residents. • Liaise with external agencies, families, and professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care. • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the service.
