About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our vibrant team in Clevedon. This pivotal role within our Children's Services setting involves supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are provided to young people facing challenging behaviours. As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can thrive. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Registered Manager in all aspects of residential care management. • Oversee and mentor the care team, providing guidance and supervision. • Ensure the delivery of person-centred care plans tailored to individual needs. • Manage shifts, including day, night, long day, twilight, sleep-in, and waking night, and effectively deploy staff. • Uphold all regulatory standards and company policies to maintain a high-quality service. • Engage proactively with challenging behaviours, implementing effective strategies and de-escalation techniques. • Foster positive relationships with young people, their families, and external professionals. • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of our services.
