Deputy Manager - Children's Services About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to join our Children's Services team in Swadlincote. This permanent, full-time day role involves crucial support to the Registered Manager, ensuring the highest standards of care and a nurturing environment for the children and young people in our care. You will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations, contributing to the development and well-being of our residents. Key Responsibilities The Deputy Manager will: • Assist the Registered Manager in the overall running and management of the children's home. • Oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring all practices meet regulatory standards. • Support and supervise care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. • Take a lead in developing and implementing care plans, risk assessments, and young people's individual development plans. • Manage safeguarding concerns effectively and ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to. • Participate in rota planning, staff meetings, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of services. • Act as a positive role model, promoting independence and life skills for the children and young people. • Liaise with external professionals, families, and authorities as required.
