About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to join our Children's Services team at Oakleigh Gardens. This pivotal role involves providing leadership and support within a residential setting for children facing challenging behaviours. You will be instrumental in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment, helping our young people grow and thrive. This role offers the flexibility of various shift patterns, including days, nights, long days, twilights, sleep-ins, and waking nights, across permanent, temporary, fixed-term, and bank contracts. Key Responsibilities • Lead and supervise a team of care professionals, ensuring high standards of care and support are consistently delivered. • Implement individual care plans and behavioural support strategies for children with complex needs, focusing on positive outcomes. • Oversee daily routines, activities, and educational support, fostering a stimulating and engaging atmosphere. • Act as a positive role model, guiding and mentoring both service users and team members. • Maintain clear and accurate records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. • Drive our service users to appointments, activities, and outings, requiring a full UK driving licence. • Collaborate effectively with external professionals, families, and key stakeholders to promote the best interests of the children. • Respond proactively to challenging situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals.
