Support Worker - Driver About the Role Are you looking for a fulfilling role where you can make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Children's Services. This role is based at Oakleigh Gardens and involves supporting children and young people who exhibit challenging behaviours, helping them to develop essential life skills, and promoting their well-being within a supportive environment. As a driver, you will also play a key part in facilitating activities, appointments, and community engagement for the young people in our care. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive and nurturing setting, offering a variety of shifts to suit your lifestyle, including days, nights, long days, twilights, sleep-ins, and waking nights. Key Responsibilities • Provide consistent and person-centred support to children and young people with challenging behaviours. • Assist with daily routines, personal care, and domestic tasks as required. • Support and encourage participation in educational, recreational, and social activities. • Safely transport young people to external appointments, activities, and community outings using company vehicles. • Implement care plans and behaviour management strategies effectively. • Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or incidents appropriately. • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic care. • Contribute to creating a safe, positive, and stimulating environment for all residents.
