Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home Company: HDI House Group Location: Gravesend, Kent Salary: £34,000 – £44,000 per annum (depending on experience) Hours: Full-time About Us HDI House Group is a dedicated provider of high-quality residential care for children and young people. The Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. You will play a key role in ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with Ofsted regulations. Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager in the overall management of the home Lead, supervise, and develop a team of residential support staff Ensure high-quality care and positive outcomes for children and young people Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and reviews Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership during shifts Assist with staff training, supervisions, and performance management Requirements Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential) Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (preferred or willingness to work towards) Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting Experience in a senior or leadership role within a residential home Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential) What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Opportunities for progression into Registered Manager roles Ongoing training and professional development Supportive and structured management team Pension scheme Apply Now If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and ready to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.
