About this role

About the Role We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our Children's Services team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in making a tangible difference to the lives of young people, providing essential care and support as they navigate their daily routines and developmental journeys. You will contribute to creating a nurturing and safe environment where children can thrive, learn, and achieve their personal best. This role requires flexibility across various shift patterns, ensuring continuous support for the young people in our care, including during the day, waking nights, nights, long days, twilights, and sleep-ins. A key aspect of this position involves driving, so a full UK driving licence is essential to transport children to appointments, activities, and other engagements. Key Responsibilities • Provide person-centred care and support to children and young people, assisting with personal care, daily living skills, and educational activities. • Follow individual care plans diligently, ensuring all needs are met with respect and understanding. • Engage children in a variety of stimulating and therapeutic activities, both within the home and in the community. • Safely transport children to appointments, school, and leisure activities, adhering to all road safety regulations. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of observations, incidents, and progress. • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care. • Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all children. • Address challenging situations with patience, empathy, and professional boundaries. What We Offer • A supportive and collaborative working environment. • Opportunities for continuous professional development and training. • The chance to make a profound and lasting impact on children's lives.
