Deputy Manager About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to join our Children's Residential Care Home team in South West London. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital leadership role in a residential setting, supporting children and young people who present with challenging behaviour. As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care and support are provided, creating a nurturing and empowering environment where children can thrive. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding a team of care professionals, implementing individualised care plans, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operation and management of the children's home • Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to the care team, fostering a positive and supportive working environment • Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of tailored care plans for young people, focusing on positive behavioural support • Ensure the safety, welfare, and development of all children and young people in our care • Manage staff rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained across day, night, long day, twilight, sleep-in, and waking night shifts • Handle administrative duties, record-keeping, and reporting in line with organisational policies and regulatory requirements • Engage proactively with young people, families, and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes • Support the Registered Manager in maintaining Ofsted compliance and preparing for inspections What We Offer • A competitive salary range of £32,000 to £40,000 per annum • A permanent, full-time contract of 40 hours per week • The opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable young people • A supportive team environment and opportunities for professional development
