Deputy Manager - Children's Services About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to join our Children's Services team in Gillingham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for young people. As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered, promoting the well-being, development, and safety of the children and young people in our care. You will be instrumental in managing day-to-day operations, leading a compassionate team, and contributing to the positive outcomes for those we support. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Registered Manager in the overall running and management of the children's home. • Oversee and support a team of care professionals, providing guidance, supervision, and leadership. • Ensure the delivery of person-centred care plans that meet the individual needs of each young person. • Promote a safe, therapeutic, and stimulating environment for all residents. • Undertake administrative duties, including record-keeping and contributing to regulatory compliance. • Participate in staff rotas, covering various shifts including days, nights, long days, twilights, sleep-ins, and waking nights, as required. • Act as a positive role model, fostering a culture of respect, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
