About this role
Beech House is a small, therapeutic children's home supporting two young people with learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to help lead shifts, support the staff team, and provide high-quality, child-centred care. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will act as a role model, supporting colleagues to deliver therapeutic care while building positive relationships with young people. You will contribute to care planning, risk management, behaviour support strategies, and ensure the home operates in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards. Essential Requirements: -Minimum 2 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting -Experience supporting children with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge -Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare -Full UK driving licence -Ability to lead shifts and support less experienced staff -Strong communication, recording, and organisational skills -Commitment to therapeutic, trauma-informed practice Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
