About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to join our Children's Services team in Sunderland. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire a team in providing exceptional care and support to children and young people. As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of shifts, promoting a positive and nurturing environment, and advocating for the needs of those in our care. A key aspect of this role includes driving, so a full UK driving licence is essential. We have various contract types available, including permanent, temporary, fixed-term, and bank, with a range of shifts covering days, nights, long days, twilights, sleep-ins, and waking nights, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle. Key Responsibilities • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of care professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment • Oversee the day-to-day care and support of children and young people, ensuring their well-being, safety, and development • Drive young people to appointments, activities, and school (company vehicle provided) • Implement and review care plans, ensuring they are person-centred and reflective of individual needs • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and regulatory requirements • Foster strong relationships with families, external professionals, and relevant agencies • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating best practice in all aspects of care delivery • Contribute to the ongoing training and development of the care team What We Offer • A competitive hourly rate of £13.50 to £16.00, reflective of your experience and responsibilities • Opportunities for professional development and career progression within our Children's Services • A supportive and collaborative team environment • Flexible working patterns to promote work-life balance • The chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people
