We aim to help restore belief in themselves, in others and in their future, supporting them to move forward with confidence, resilience and ambition. ⸻ Purpose of the Role To provide high-quality day-to-day care and support to children and young people living at Acacia House, promoting their welfare, development and positive outcomes in line with their care plans, the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and The Ezer Group’s values. You will help create a safe, nurturing and aspirational home environment while supporting young people in their emotional wellbeing, education, independence and daily life. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Care and Support * Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people. * Provide nurturing, child-focused care tailored to individual needs. * Support children with routines, education, appointments and daily living skills. * Encourage personal growth, positive identity and independence. * Act as a positive role model in line with our values and ethos. Safeguarding and Therapeutic Support * Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times. * Support young people using trauma-informed, restorative and compassionate approaches. * Respond to behaviours with understanding, reflection and consistency. * Support emotional regulation and positive risk-taking. * Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns promptly. Key Working * Act as Key Worker for allocated young people. * Deliver meaningful key work sessions around goals, wellbeing, relationships and future planning. * Support young people to reflect, learn and build faith in their futures. * Contribute to care planning, reviews and advocacy. Home Life and Development * Help create a warm, stable and loving home environment. * Support participation in education, hobbies, community activities and life experiences. * Promote aspirations and encourage excellence in all areas of development. * Support with household tasks, cooking, activities and transport.
