Deputy Manager - Children's Services About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our Children's Services team at Calcott Crescent. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for young people. As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for the children and young people in our service. You will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations, fostering a stable and therapeutic atmosphere where young people can thrive. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Registered Manager in the overall leadership and management of the children's residential home. • Oversee and participate in the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and support to young people. • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including Ofsted standards. • Support and supervise a team of care staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities. • Manage staff rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet the needs of the young people. • Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of care plans, risk assessments, and placement plans. • Facilitate and promote young people's involvement in education, recreational activities, and community engagement. • Act as a positive role model, promoting independence, personal growth, and positive behaviour. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and participate in administrative duties as required. • Respond effectively to incidents and emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all young people.
