Deputy Manager About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to join our Children's Services team. In this challenging yet incredibly rewarding role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of our residential children's home. You will work closely with the Registered Manager, providing leadership and support to a team of care professionals, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the young people in our care. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Registered Manager in the overall management and leadership of the children's home. • Oversee the daily routines, activities, and care plans for the young people. • Provide guidance, supervision, and support to care staff, promoting best practices and continuous professional development. • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including Ofsted standards. • Contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and review of individual care plans. • Manage staffing rotas efficiently, ensuring appropriate coverage across various shifts including days, nights, long days, twilights, sleep-ins, and waking nights. • Act as a positive role model and advocate for the young people, supporting their emotional, social, and educational development. • Handle safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately, working in line with child protection policies.
