About the Role We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our Children's Services team in London SE27. This is a vital role where you will play a key part in providing exceptional care and support to children, helping them to thrive and achieve their full potential. As a Support Worker, you will contribute to a nurturing and safe environment, empowering young people to develop independent living skills and positive relationships. We offer a variety of shifts to suit your lifestyle, including waking nights, sleep-ins, long days, twilights, nights, and day shifts, with opportunities for permanent, temporary, fixed-term, or bank contracts. Key Responsibilities • Provide direct personal care and support to children in line with their individual care plans. • Assist children with daily routines, including personal hygiene, meals, and activities. • Engage children in educational, social, and recreational activities to promote their development and wellbeing. • Support children in developing life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and managing personal finances. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of observations, incidents, and progress. • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care. • Contribute to a positive, therapeutic, and protective environment for all children. • Address challenging behaviours with empathy and appropriate de-escalation techniques.
