About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our dynamic team in Liverpool, supporting children within our residential care services. This is a crucial role where you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care and support are delivered to young people, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviours. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operation and management of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and internal policies. • Provide motivational leadership and support to the care team, promoting best practices in child care and challenging behaviour management. • Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring they are person-centred and reflective of each child's needs and aspirations. • Manage staff rotas, allocate duties, and conduct regular supervisions and appraisals. • Act as a positive role model, fostering a culture of respect, resilience, and empathy within the home. • Participate in on-call duties and cover a range of shifts including days, nights, long days, twilight, sleep-ins, and waking nights to meet the needs of the service. • Engage proactively with external professionals, families, and stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
