About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our Children's Services team in Oakleigh Gardens. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the lives of young people, supporting them through challenging behaviours and helping them flourish. As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are consistently delivered. You will be instrumental in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive, develop essential life skills, and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Registered Manager in the overall management and leadership of the children's service. • Supervise and mentor a team of care staff, promoting best practices and continuous professional development. • Ensure the delivery of person-centred care plans, tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of each child, particularly those presenting with challenging behaviours. • Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all young people. • Engage with external professionals, families, and stakeholders to advocate for the children's welfare and progress. • Contribute to regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes. • Champion safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the well-being and protection of all children. What We Offer • A competitive salary package ranging from £30,000 to £42,000 per annum, depending on experience. • A full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, offering stability and career progression. • The opportunity to work a variety of shifts including day, night, long day, twilight, sleep-in, and waking night, providing flexibility. • A supportive and collaborative working environment within a dedicated team. • Continuous professional development and training opportunities to enhance your skills in children's care and challenging behaviours. • The chance to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
