Deputy Manager - Children's Services About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our passionate team in Children's Services in Slough. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting and developing young people within a residential care setting. As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for the children and young people we support. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a nurturing, stable, and empowering environment where every young person can thrive. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operation and management of the residential setting. • Provide leadership and guidance to the care team, promoting best practices and continuous professional development. • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, individualised care that meets the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of young people. • Oversee and participate in care planning, risk assessments, and reviews, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. • Support the safeguarding of all young people, adhering to company policies and procedures and local authority guidelines. • Manage staff rotas, supervise staff, and contribute to performance management processes. • Act as a positive role model for both staff and young people, promoting a culture of respect, compassion, and resilience. • Undertake on-call duties and provide cover during varying shift patterns including days, nights, long days, twilights, sleep-ins, and waking nights, as required.
