About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader who is also a confident driver to join our Children's Services team in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, providing leadership and support within a nurturing environment. You will play a vital role in coordinating care, ensuring the smooth running of shifts, and acting as a positive role model for both the young people and your colleagues. Your ability to drive will be essential for facilitating activities, appointments, and safe transport for the children in our care. Key Responsibilities • Provide effective leadership and supervision to a team of support workers, ensuring high standards of care are consistently met • Oversee daily routines, activities, and educational support for young people within our Children's Services • Implement and monitor individual care plans, adapting approaches to meet evolving needs • Ensure the safety, well-being, and personal development of the young people • Liaise effectively with parents/guardians, external professionals, and other stakeholders • Manage shift handovers, team schedules, and administrative tasks as required • Safely transport young people to appointments, activities, and other destinations What We Offer • A competitive hourly rate of £14 - £16.5 per hour • A comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development opportunities • A supportive and collaborative team environment • Flexible working patterns, including day, night, and long day shifts, totalling 40 hours per week • The chance to genuinely impact young lives and contribute to a positive future
