Deputy Manager, Children's Services About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our Children's Services team in Bolton. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young people. As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered, promoting the well-being, development, and independence of the children and young people in our care. You will be instrumental in leading and supporting a team of care professionals, fostering a positive and therapeutic atmosphere. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children's home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and internal policies. • Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to the care team, promoting best practices and continuous professional development. • Oversee the implementation of individual care plans, ensuring they are person-centred and responsive to the evolving needs of each young person. • Manage staff rotas and allocate duties, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times. • Participate in recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of new staff members. • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding children and young people. • Maintain accurate records and reports, contributing to reviews and assessments. • Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for the home's operation.
