Deputy Manager - Children's Services About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our passionate team in Ilford, supporting children's services. This is a vital role where you will contribute significantly to creating a nurturing and structured environment for young people, particularly those who exhibit challenging behaviours. As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our service, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for the children in our care. You will play a key part in the development and implementation of individual care plans, fostering a homely atmosphere where children feel safe, respected, and empowered to thrive. We offer various contract types including permanent, bank, fixed-term, and temporary positions, with a flexible approach to shifts including day, night, long day, sleep-in, waking night, and twilight hours. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children's service, maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. • Support the team in delivering high-quality, child-centred care, promoting the emotional, social, and physical well-being of all residents. • Oversee the implementation of care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies, focusing on positive approaches to challenging behaviours. • Lead by example, promoting a positive and professional working culture among staff. • Participate in staff supervision, appraisals, and ongoing professional development. • Act as a key worker for individual children, building trusting relationships and advocating for their needs. • Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for the children. • Assist with administrative duties, record-keeping, and reporting as required.
