Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home Together Care Group | Hope House, Leeds LS4 Together Care Group is recruiting caring, reliable and enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our team at Hope House. You will help provide a safe, nurturing home for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, supporting their wellbeing, confidence and independence. Key responsibilities: • Safeguard children and promote their welfare. • Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent role model. • Support daily routines, providing clear boundaries and encouragement. • Follow individual care and placement plans. • Undertake key-worker responsibilities and provide individual support. • Plan and participate in activities, outings and group work. • Maintain accurate records and report concerns promptly. • Work closely with colleagues, families and other professionals. • Attend training, supervision and team meetings. • Work flexibly across the agreed rota, including sleep-in duties. About you: • Compassionate, patient, honest and reliable. • Able to communicate effectively and work as part of a team. • Able to remain calm in challenging situations and seek support when needed. • Good organisational, recording and reporting skills. • Committed to respecting children’s backgrounds, views and individual needs. • Willing to learn and develop your skills. Previous residential childcare experience and a relevant Level 3 qualification are desirable but are not essential when applying. We welcome applicants who can demonstrate the right qualities and a commitment to working with children. Training and regular supervision will be provided. Applicants must be willing to complete the required childcare qualification and training relevant to their role. A full UK driving licence is desirable. The role involves rota-based shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins as agreed. Start date by agreement, subject to satisfactory recruitment checks.
