Working closely alongside the Registered Manager, you will help shape a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where children and young people can thrive. You will inspire and support a dedicated staff team, championing high standards of care and ensuring every child receives the tailored support they need to achieve positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operational running of the home, stepping up to lead in their absence. • Mentoring, supervising, and developing residential care workers to ensure consistent, child-centred care. • Overseeing the implementation and regular review of individualised care and placement plans. • Maintaining robust safeguarding practices and ensuring the service consistently meets regulatory standards and statutory frameworks. • Fostering positive relationships with young people, their families, social workers, and multidisciplinary professionals. • Leading day and long day shifts effectively, promoting a structured, therapeutic, and warm household atmosphere.
