About the Role We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our Children's Services team in Little Dawley, Telford. This is a vital role where you will make a significant impact on the lives of young people with challenging behaviour, helping them to develop essential life skills, build confidence, and achieve their personal goals. As a Support Worker, you will be a positive role model, providing consistent and compassionate care within a structured and supportive environment. This role is offered on a permanent, fixed-term, temporary, and bank contract basis, with a variety of shifts available including day, night, long day, twilight, sleep-in, and waking night, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle. A driving licence is essential for this position, as you will be supporting young people with their community engagement and activities. Key Responsibilities • Provide consistent and person-centred support to young people with challenging behaviour, promoting their independence and well-being. • Assist with daily routines, personal care, and domestic tasks as required, always maintaining dignity and respect. • Engage young people in educational, social, and recreational activities, both within the home and in the wider community. • Implement individual care plans and behavioural support strategies effectively. • Document observations and accurately report on the progress and development of the young people. • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic care. • Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for the young people.
