Support Worker, Children's Services About the Role We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our Children's Services team in Romford. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, providing essential support and guidance within a caring and structured environment. As a Support Worker, you will be instrumental in helping children and young people thrive, fostering their independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. We offer a variety of contract types, including permanent, temporary, fixed-term, and bank, to suit different availabilities, with a standard full-time commitment of 40 hours per week. We operate a flexible shift pattern including day, night, long day, twilight, sleep-in, and waking night shifts to provide comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities • Provide direct support and care to children and young people, assisting with daily routines and personal development. • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for residents. • Engage children and young people in educational, recreational, and social activities. • Support the emotional and physical well-being of the children, advocating for their needs. • Maintain clear and accurate records of observations and interactions. • Work collaboratively with colleagues, external professionals, and families to achieve positive outcomes for the children. • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines to ensure the highest standards of care.
